Hair Restoration

How Does Hair Restoration Work?

Hair restoration is a 3-step medical procedure that serves as a solution for hair loss.

The process of hair loss treatment for hair loss works by means of drawing blood from the patient, processing it, and then injecting it into the scalp. Hair restoration promotes natural hair growth and maintenance by increasing the blood flow to the hair follicles. Consequently, this technique revives dormant hair follicles in order to stimulate copious and healthy hair growth.

Practiced since the 1980s, hair loss treatment’s purpose transcends hair restoration; as it is also commonly used as a remedy for injured muscles, tendons, and ligaments.

With respect to the sessions, they are typically spaced four to six weeks apart. Additionally, maintenance treatments are required every four to six months. While it does differ from one patient to another, recovery time involves minimal discomfort that usually dissipates after four weeks.

The steps in a hair restoration session are as follows:

Step 1:

Blood is drawn from the arm and placed into a centrifuge, which is a machine that spins at a rapid pace in order to separate fluids of different densities. This step usually takes 10 minutes.

Step 2:

Once the centrifuge stage is complete, your red blood cells will have separated from the other growth factors that are used in the hair restoration process.

Step 3:

Next, the growth factors are drawn up into a syringe and are injected into the target areas of the scalp that require more hair growth.

While hair loss treatment is still at an infancy stage in terms of 100% efficacy, it has been proven to be effective for many people.

Who Can Benefit From Hair Restoration?

Hair restoration is ideal for women and men who suffer from excessive hair loss. This hair restoration method works particularly well for those diagnosed with alopecia areata.

Alopecia areata is a condition wherein the cells in the immune system attack the hair follicles, causing the hair to fall out. This can manifest in either receding hairlines or balding patches on the scalp.

Hair Restoration Treatment Areas

Hair loss treatment is perfect for rejuvenating hair growth on the scalp, but it is also commonly used as a solution for injured tendons, muscles, joints, ligaments, and skin on other parts of the body.
